Advanced Manufacturing

Students will design basic automation fixturing, learn the basics of robot automation programming, and write/construct programs. Further study includes HAAS machine probing cycles.

In order to be successful in this class, students must already be very familiar basic g-code programming and machine tool setup and operation.

Students will learn to use G&M Code to program basic machine movements, apply macro variables to construct programs, set up turning and machining centers, and practice in-process inspection techniques, including Haas machine probing cycles. 

To be successful in this course, students must already be familiar with CNC machine tool operations and have at least an intermediate level knowledge of long-hand g-code programming.

This 10-hour General Industry training is intended to provide instruction on a variety of general industry safety and health standards. This program is presented by an authorized General Industry Outreach Program Trainer and will provide you with the elements for developing a comprehensive safety and health program for your organization. OSHA established required course topics. These topics are designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSHA Act must be implemented in the workplace. The program will help your company reduce costly accidents, and the risk of OSHA citations, fines and penalties. Course topics include: Overview of the OSHA General Duty Clause, Inspections, Citations and Subpart D: Walking and Working Surfaces; Subpart E & L: Means of Egress and Fire Protection; Subpart S: Electrical; Subpart H: Hazardous Materials; Subpart I: Personal Protective Equipment; Subpart O: Machine Guarding; Subpart J: Lockout Tagout; Subpart J: Permit Required Confined Space; and Subpart Q: Welding, Cutting, and Brazing. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an official OSHA course completion card
