About us

Jamestown Community College was officially chartered by the State University of New York (SUNY) on February 7, 1950, and was the first locally sponsored SUNY public community college to award a degree. JCC is now one of 30 community colleges within the 64-member SUNY system with over 30,000 graduates.

Jamestown Community College’s Workforce Development partners with local employers, community organizations, and individuals to strengthen the regional workforce. We provide responsive training, upskilling, and credentialing opportunities designed to meet current and emerging industry needs. Through customized programs, short-term certificates, and lifelong learning opportunities, Workforce Development supports economic growth while helping individuals advance their careers.
